SHAKESPEARE TEXT & PERFORMANCE: (Teaching Artist: Sarah Eismann)
* Based on the voice work of Kristin Linklater, develop your imagination, Shakespeare’s imagery, character creation/development and embodiment.
* Work on incorporating voice though song and discover the relationship between song and text, the rhythm of poetry, and how text can create a relation with the rhythm and against the rhythm.
* Work on the relationships of the individual actor to the whole ensemble, the actor to the text, the text to the music, and the ensemble to the physical space.
—
VIEWPOINTS & MOVEMENT: (Teaching Artist: Jensen Olaya)
* Explore space through your visual, aural, and tactile senses.
* Help bring awareness to the body and its environment through an intensive listening session that includes observing the rhythms of oneself (Inner Focus) and the soundscape of the environment (Outer Focus).
* Introduce a vocabulary for composition, in story telling by learning the elements of the Viewpoints (Space, Time, Spatial Relationship, Inner-Outer Focus, Sound).
* Create group compositions through ensemble collaboration
